This fully private property is the perfect place to push the limits of pre-runner trucks and dial in suspension setups before hitting the open desert. On Saturday, October 26, Doug and Sterling from Dweezy Shop decided to make history by hosting a massive off-road racing event, bringing together some of the biggest names in the scene Subscribe to our weekly newsletter Southern California’s Pre-Runner Playground To elevate the experience, Doug invited Eric Conner from SoCal Suspension to help manage the event and run live demos with his legendary 1974 F-100, Vivian 2.0. Some of the best desert racing trucks in the game rolled in, with drivers like Kylen Garcia, Spencer Trego, Zach Conner, Noah Quantrell, Ernest Harris, Jeff Agnew, and Ruslan Yankilevich sending it over the jumps. These seasoned wheelmen—and even a few young guns—put on an absolute spectacle for fans and media alike. The action-packed demo course featured a high-speed banked straight leading into the first jump, followed by a downhill run into a massive tabletop dubbed the “booter” for its ability to send trucks sky-high. This section gave spectators the perfect angle to witness just how capable these pre-runner trucks are, from their long-travel suspension setups to their raw power. After clearing the booter, drivers tackled a fast whoop section designed to test desert racing truck stability before wrapping up with a wide, sweeping turn back to the start. For those willing to risk it all, there was an even gnarlier challenge—a brutal step-up jump. This wasn’t for the faint of heart. Hitting it too short could result in a nasty rollover, while overshooting meant a hard landing that could wreck a truck. Only the best drivers dared to send it, and Eric, Zach, and Ruslan were the most consistent at sticking perfect landings. Speaking of Zach and Ruslan—did we mention they’re only 16 years old? These kids are out here pushing the limits, throwing their off-road racing trucks higher than some of the sport’s veterans. It’s a battle of “who can go bigger,” but at the core, they represent the future of off-road racing in California. TCB Ranch: A New Hub for Off-Road Events Outside of the chaos on the track, Doug was making sure everything ran smoothly, keeping safety a top priority while ensuring spectators had the best experience possible. When asked about the event’s success and whether more meets were in the works, his response was exactly what the off-road community wanted to hear: “It went better than expected. The amount of support was unbelievable. The respect from everyone was incredible. This event showed us what’s possible for the future.” And the best news? “One hundred percent, we will be hosting more events at TCB Ranch.” Doug envisions TCB Ranch as an exclusive destination for off-road enthusiasts, brands, and companies looking for a private space to test and showcase pre-runner trucks and desert racing trucks. Future events will continue to build on the success of this first meet, bringing even more action to the off-road racing scene in California.
