In the past, Rivian has killed it at the rally, bringing in talented outside drivers, Emme Hall and navigator Rebecca Donaghe, to pilot their EVs for the 8-day, 1,600-mile course. For the seventh annual rally, though, Rivian decided to send in some of their own – and it worked like magic. The Rebelle Rally, now in its seventh year, is an off-road navigation competition just for women. For a look at the experience of training for and competing in the Rebelle Rally with Team Rivian, check out the short film. In it, you ride along with Rivian employees Nicole Johnson, Lilly Macaruso, Alex Anderson and Ro Nuch as they go from “zero to rally” preparing, practicing and ultimately finishing the 2022 Rebelle Rally. Beyond that, each team also qualified as a Rebelle Rookie team, making their results all the more impressive. Finishing in an impressive fourth place, Lillian Macaruso and Alex Anderson scored 1314 points, hitting 85% of the total points. Their 2022 Rivian R1T sported gray wrapping and their team name, the Limestone Legends. They’re one of the best-performing rookie teams in the history of the Rebelle Rally. Coming in just behind our good friend Mercedes Lilienthal (a Rebelle pro whose electrified Jeep you can’t miss on the pages of your March/April issue of TREAD) was Rivian’s other team, led by Ro Nuch and Nicole Johnson. Placing 20th overall, the Yellow Yetis earned 1080 points, 70%.
