2022 Toyota Tundra Hybrid: A Truck for Truck People
The 2022 Toyota Tundra Hybrid has the underpinnings, chassis, and features to impress. Not only does it share its boxed steel frame with the new Sequoia, Land Cruiser 300, and Lexus LX 600, but also has new, more powerful and fuel-efficient powertrains.
It’s a crawler, it’s a pre-runner, it’s…an overlander? At first glance, this wild Chevy Colorado looks like some sort of race truck or maybe a tricked-out rock crawler. Then, you realize… this truck has a long bed, a roof top tent, gear cases on the cab roof, and it’s is packed with enough gear to go off grid for months. This thing is an overlanding rig. Or, well, Overland(ish).
High-Performance Solution to Replacing OE Shocks from Elka
Elka is a full-scale manufacturing operation providing high end shocks for trucks and Jeeps. The brand is best known for its high performance fully adjustable shock models, which we’ve been seeing a lot lately in rough off-road conditions. For overlanding and technical crawling, the shocks come usually in larger body diameters like 2.5-inch or 3-inch, with external reservoirs and compression adjustments at both high and low speed.
Last year, REDARC Electronics ran a $40K sweepstakes across North America to find two lucky winners to receive huge upgrades to their overland rigs. To make sure the winners could travel with the latest innovations, REDARC added some serious upgrades, including the latest overlanding, camping, and power management products. These winners have taken their rides to the next level, and they had the chance to test out these upgrades with another sweepstakes perk: an all-expense paid 4-day journey off-road.
